Waterproof Design

ePTFE waterproof breathable membrane technology

The DT313 sensing area uses an ePTFE waterproof breathable membrane that blocks liquid water while allowing air and water vapor exchange for accurate temperature and humidity sensing. The main electronics and battery compartment remain fully sealed to IP68.

The hydrophobic membrane has a water entry pressure of more than 20 kPa for 30 seconds and operates from -40 C to +150 C. The breathable sensing area is designed for humid environments and temporary condensation exposure. Long-term water accumulation, continuous condensation, or blockage of the membrane may affect humidity response and measurement accuracy.

Power System

15+ year battery life for set-and-forget deployment

DT313 is powered by three ER26500 non-rechargeable lithium thionyl chloride batteries with a total capacity of 25.5 Ah at 3.6 V. Under a reporting frequency of 1 report per day with good signal conditions and normal ambient temperature, the battery can last more than 15 years.

Battery life is related to reporting interval, measurement interval, wireless version, signal strength, network registration time, ambient temperature, and alarm frequency. Cellular versions may have different battery life depending on network conditions and module configuration.

Alarm Logic

Configurable threshold alarms with hysteresis and recovery reporting

DT313 wakes up periodically according to the configured measurement interval. If an alarm condition is detected during wake-up measurement, the alarm data is reported immediately.

How to install DT313 for accurate measurement

RecommendedInstall with the breathable sensing area facing downward or sideways. Keep the sensing area exposed to ambient air. For roof insulation, suspend the device inside the insulation layer.
AvoidDo not install in areas with long-term water accumulation. Do not cover the membrane with mud, dust, oil, paint, adhesive, or insulation material. Do not place in sealed dead-air zones.
